In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Buffalo State Social Work Department is collaborating with UB Law and Haven House to host a Domestic Violence Summit on Tuesday, October 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Buffalo State University. There will be an In Her Shoes simulation, a panel discussing cultural implications of domestic violence, a panel on housing resources, and a criminal justice/legal resources panel. The summit includes free lunch. Registration is required by email before Friday, October 4. 

Traditional college-age students are at the highest risk of any age group to experience intimate partner violence. Please join us in raising awareness this month. Please email Jessica Fitzpatrick, associate professor of social work, with questions.
