ELJ (Elm Leaves Journal)

ELJ's Endurance Edition has been released, featuring emerging and national and international award-winning authors: Sarah Freligh, Anne Panning, Pia Z. Ehrhardt, Amy Day Wilkinson, Tetman Callis, Ted Pelton, Ralph Pennel, Vanessa Blakeslee, Nancy McCabe, Avital Gad-Cykman, Sally Anderson Bostrom, Lydia Copeland Gwyn, Justin Karcher, Brian Druckenmiller, Theresa Wyatt, Peter Johnson, Ken Sparling, Susan Henderson, Jean Thompson, Tammy Sherwood, Amy C Murphy, Joan Wilking, Carol Townsend, and Girija Tropp.

ELJ is a literary journal in existence at Buffalo State University since 1948. It is edited by Professor Kim Chinquee and students in her ELJ editing class. In 2013, after a brief hiatus, Elm Leaves Journal was re-imagined as ELJ, a cutting edge, international literary journal. The 2013 edition was the first that published writers outside of the Buffalo State community and to be printed by a professional publisher.

ELJ is published through the cooperation of the Writing Major and the School of Arts and Sciences.

Submissions for the next issue, the Karma Edition are now open. Students enrolling in Chinquee's ENG 327 course in Fall 2025 will be part of the process of reading and editing submissions, layout, publication, promotion, and website design.

More info can be found at ELJ's website at www.elm-leaves-journal.com.
