European Union Conference: April 8-9

Buffalo State College will host the Institute for European Union Studies at SUNY (IEUSS)’s 2022 Teaching and Researching the European Union Conference on Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, on campus and virtually. This year's conference features four lectures that are free and open to the public.  

Greg Rabb, professor and coordinator of global education at SUNY Jamestown Community College, will present “Nationalism in Comparison: Palestine and Poland – A Personal Perspective” on April 8 at 1:30 p.m. in Bacon Hall 115, followed by Lt. Colonel James Gingras, instructor of political science at the U.S. Air Force Academy, who will present “Military Diplomacy” at 2:00 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Sara Norrevik, Buffalo State lecturer of political science and public administration and IEUSS fellow, will present “Variation in Cryptocurrency Regulation in the European Union" on April 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Ketchum Hall 219, followed by Natalia Cugelşan, a lecturer at the Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca -România, who will present “The Digitalization of the Field of European Studies. Mapping the State of Play” at 2:00 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow.
