Fundamentals of Online Teaching: Self-Paced Workshop

The SUNY Center for Professional Development is pleased to announce a free self-paced workshop designed for faculty members focused on transitioning to online learning. This workshop is offer by Jobs for the Future (JFF) in partnership with the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) and is open to all interested faculty members with any level of experience. Participants will have an opportunity to participate with faculty from across the country.

The series runs through December and is self-paced. Modules are designed to acclimate educators and improve their skills with the fundamentals of quality online course design, facilitation, and assessment. Topics will include equitable and inclusive design practices, strategies for engaging and motivating online students, course mapping and backward design, facilitation strategies, assessment design, universal design for learning, and continuous improvement methods.
