Information Session: Supporting International Students in the Classroom - September 13

CORRECTION APPENDED

Please join us for the Teaching and Learning Center information session "Supporting International Students in the Classroom," presented by the International Student and Scholar Services Office, on Tuesday, September 13, at 12:30 p.m. in Butler Library 318.

Do you currently have international students or new Americans in your classroom? Please join us for this 45-minute brown-bag lunch information session. Staff members will share ways the International Student and Scholar Services Office can support student learning when English is not students' first language and other campus services that are available to this unique population. In addition, we will discuss important compliance topics, such as advising tips to ensure that visa status is maintained and steps international students must take to participate in off-campus activities such as internships, service learning, volunteering, and student teaching, which now require Homeland Security approval. For more information, please email Tricia Herritt, director of international student and scholar services.

Please register through the Workshop Registration System.
