From the Interim President

I hope everyone was able to celebrate Labor Day.
I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our collective bargaining units on campus. Your dedication and tireless efforts on behalf of your constituents play a vital role in fostering a supportive and thriving living and learning community for all.
It's not lost on me that our administration building sits in Cleveland Hall, in honor of President Grover Cleveland. In 1894, he signed the law that established Labor Day as a national holiday, a significant step in honoring the hard work and dedication of the American workforce, which has been the backbone of the middle class and a driving force for socioeconomic progress.
At Buffalo State University, we take pride in our long-standing tradition of providing opportunities for our graduates and their families to move up the socioeconomic ladder. Our students receive a quality education that equips them with the skills and knowledge to build successful careers and fulfilling lives.
Let's celebrate the achievements of labor and the countless opportunities it creates. Here’s to continued reflection, gratitude, and celebration of the spirit of hard work and perseverance that defines us all.
