Faculty members and programs in the Political Science, Public Administration, and Planning Department and the Philosophy Department will be moved to create a Government, Planning, and Philosophy Department. The creation of the new department was endorsed by the affected faculty in both existing departments. This change will leverage synergistic opportunities to allow for a richer curriculum that benefits students and faculty. This change will be effective January 1, 2025, and will be reflected in official documents. The School of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office will work with offices across campus to ensure a smooth transition.
