Internal Search: Executive Assistant to the Dean, School of the Professions

Internal applications are being accepted for the following position on campus. This is an internal job posting open to employees of Buffalo State College who are currently paid from any state-appropriated-funds payroll:

Brief Job Description
The executive assistant to the dean provides assistance to the School of the Professions (SOP) Dean's Office in business and personnel aspects including reviewing, preparing, and tracking faculty and professional appointments with respect to contracts, contract renewals, and continuing and permanent appointments for the departments within SOP and preparing and reconciling the school's budget.

Duties include

  • managing full-time SOP faculty and staff personnel files as well as tracking promotions, sabbaticals, retirements, and graduate faculty status forms;
  • providing temp service budget reports as needed and faculty loading reports;
  • tracking and reviewing active searches in PeopleAdmin and working with SOP departments to coordinate search processes and faculty recruitment;
  • assisting with travel arrangements and preparing all paperwork for reimbursements of external evaluators, guest speakers, faculty candidates, and those seeking Dean’s Office support, as well as processing travel paperwork for SOP faculty members;
  • tracking and preparing tuition waivers for student teachers in the Social Work Department;
  • serving as the point person for Events Management for use of the Technology Building and Caudell Hall lobbies regarding reservations for event requests; and
  • assisting with any activities within the office as needed.
