Kwibuka 31: Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda - May 10

Please join Academic Affairs, the Anne Frank Project, and the regional Rwandan community as we commemorate the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda on Saturday, May 10, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall.

Kwibuka 31 is both a solemn and inspiring event where Rwandans from around the globe come together to ‘Remember. Unite. Renew.’  Kwibuka 31 will include survivor testimonies, a panel discussion, delicious Rwandan cuisine, and distinguished speakers including the Rwanda Ambassador to the United States, Mathilde Mukantabana.

Buffalo State University is proud to be hosting this year’s Kwibuka 31. It is an excellent opportunity for faculty, staff, students, and community members to authentically engage with this important Rwandan ritual. This event is open and free to all.
