The Buffalo State University community is saddened by the death of James M. “Jim” Shea, associate professor emeritus of engineering technology, who died July 23, 2025. Professor Shea joined the campus in 1967 and retired in 2020. He is survived by his partner, Sherry Salzman; and three children. A private memorial service will be held for friends and family.
