Navigate - Late Semester Progress Report

We extend our sincere appreciation to all faculty members who participated in our first Early Alert Progress Report via Navigate. We are delighted to share that we achieved a 70% response rate, underscoring your dedication to our students' success.

The Late Semester Progress Report will be available in Navigate starting Monday, April 7th, and will remain open until Friday, April 25th.

  • You may wish to read the How to Complete a Progress Report training guide.
  • You also have the option to watch a video on How to Complete a Progress Report. Access requires your BSU Username and Network password.
  • If your students are performing well and no Alerts are necessary, please log in to your Navigate account, access your Progress Report(s), and select the blue button: Submit unmark students as not needing feedback (I’m all done).

The Late Semester Progress Report, in particular, will allow faculty to raise the Recommended Pass/Fail or Withdrawal Alert and allow students time to make an informed decision before the Friday, May 2, 2025 deadline for those processes.

A Note About Raising Multiple Alerts for the Same Student

When submitting a Progress Report, if a student is having a particularly difficult time, with a multitude of issues, there may be instances where you want to submit multiple alerts for your students.  We have realized that this then creates separate numerous alerts for advisors and those multiples can be challenging to manage and to close. So, to minimize the volume of emails received by both students and staff regarding Alerts we are asking instructors to do the following:

  • For students, where you as the instructor have multiple concerns, please raise the most pertinent Alert, such as Recommend Pass/Fail or Withdrawal.
  • Then rather than submit additional cases for the same student we are asking you to include these concerns in the comment field that is available.
    • Options might include 3+ Attendance Absences, In Danger of Failing, and Missing/Late 2+ Assignments.
  • This clarity will streamline the process within Navigate and yet the advisor can still discuss all of your concerns at the same time.

Thank you for your continued efforts to support our students' success!
