Please join the Equity and Campus Diversity Office and the Civic and Community Engagement Office for an important social justice conversation as Vida Vanchan and James Golden discuss their 2021 Social Justice Faculty Externship experience with partners Jericho Road Community Health Center and Open Buffalo on Tuesday, November 23, at 9:00 a.m. in Bulger Communication Center 216 or online via Microsoft Teams.
The externship is an opportunity for faculty members to engage in learning opportunities with community organizations that provide leadership in addressing issues of social justice and to extend that learning to students through curricular change. Partner organizations also benefit through faculty time and attention to a project using the faculty member’s skills and experiences. Dr. Vanchan, Dr. Golden, and their partners will share learning and explore outcomes of the collaborations, as well as foster discussion about the integration of social justice into curriculum for Buffalo State College students.
