Microcredentials Spring 2018 Webinar Series

Across SUNY’s 64 campuses, institutions are developing and implementing both credit and noncredit microcredentialing programs that respond to student and industry demands. The concept of the credential is a transnational, interdisciplinary signal of capability and skill. Microcredentials, which are competency-based, show proof of specific learning achievements. Please join us for this free webinar series, organized by the FACT2 Task Group on Microcredentials, which will provide information on the reasons to consider adopting a microcredentialing program and how to do so effectively.

The first webinar in the series will introduce participants to the “nuts and bolts” of microcredential programs. The successive webinars will feature representatives from across SUNY who will discuss the ways that their institutions are implementing microcredentialing programs on their campuses. The concluding webinar, Getting Started in Microcredentialing, will provide guidance on how Buffalo State might get started on implementing its own microcredentialing program.

You can register for one, some, or all the webinars in the series. We will advertise additional webinars as they are scheduled. This series is sponsored by the SUNY Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2) in partnership with the SUNY Center for Professional Development.
