Deborah Silverman, chair and associate professor of communication, has been named chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the national Commission on Public Relations Education. The commission provides recommendations on modernizing the PR curriculum to public relations programs across the United States. Dr. Silverman is leading a committee of PR educators and PR professionals who will be conducting DEI research for the commission’s next report in 2023.
