The Modern and Classical Languages Department will celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival or Chunjie in Chinese, on Thursday, February 15, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Buckham Hall B234. The Chinese Lunar New Year is one of the most important and widely celebrated traditional festivals in China and several other East Asian countries. It marks the beginning of the lunar new year and usually falls between January 21 and February 20, depending on the lunar calendar. Happy New Year (新年快乐 - pronounced "Xīnnián kuàilè)! This event is free and open to the Buffalo State community.
