Thomas J. Reigstad, professor emeritus of English, published a prose poem, “Wordsworth, Baseball, and Me,” in Turnstyle: The SABR Journal of Baseball Arts 4:36–39 (2024). The poem describes coming of age in the 1950s and ’60s in Buffalo through the lens of baseball. SABR, the Society for American Baseball Research, is a membership organization dedicated to preserving and fostering the history and record of baseball. Professor Reigstad serves on SABR’s Baseball and the Arts Research Committee and is a member of the Luke Easter chapter.
