Tim Bryant, associate professor of English, presented his research at the NarraScope 2024 conference, hosted by the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, June 21–23. His talk, “The Art of Ludic Adaptation: How to Make Games out of Books, Movies, or Almost Anything,” explored the scholarship and pedagogy of games for learning in the college classroom. This work builds on Dr. Bryant’s research into the dynamics of narrative in games, as well as his recent certification in applied game design from Central Michigan University’s Center for Learning through Games and Simulations.
