Zhang Jie, SUNY Distinguished Professor of sociology and director of Buffalo State's Center for China Studies, published the article “Psychache, Hopelessness, and Suicidal Ideation and Behaviors: A Cross-Sectional Study from China” in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health 21 (7): 885. The study’s coauthors were Ching Sin Siau, E. David Klonsky, Kairi Kõlves, Jenny Mei Yiu Huen, Caryn Mei Hsien Chan, Muhamad Nur Fariduddin, Norhayati Ibrahim, Yee Kee Tan, Cunxian Jia, Jie Zhang, and Bob Lew.
