The GRIT Scholarship recognizes Buffalo State students who demonstrate GRIT (Guts, Resilience, Impact, and Tenacity). Remember, students may be awarded at any point during their Buffalo State careers, and faculty and staff members may nominate deserving students at any time. Meaningful mentor/student relationships are key to helping students navigate challenges; the GRIT Scholarship is meant to leverage and encourage these relationships.

To nominate a student, email BSCFoundation@buffalostate.edu and include the student's name, Banner ID, and a short summary that tells how the student has demonstrated GRIT in pursuit of their education. If you have questions or would like guidance through the nomination process, Lori Till, associate professor of hospitality and tourism, is available as a resource.
