Bridget María Chesterton, professor of history and social studies education, published an article in the Paraguayan newspaper, La Nación, on March 30 in celebration of International Women's Month. The article entitled "Cocinera e intelectual en los años de la era liberal" argues that women were fundamental in restoring the image of national honor after the crushing defeat in the War of the Triple Alliance (1864–1870).
