Friday, September 5, is the last day to register to march in the processional at Academic Convocation on Tuesday, September 9, at 12:15 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.
The tradition of Academic Convocation is to formally inaugurate the 2025–2026 academic year. The event will also honor our esteemed faculty and staff members during the recognition ceremony.
Our goal this year is to engage the campus community during the processional. The procession will start in the Campbell Student Union (previously E. H. Butler Library) and process down Rockwell Walk to Rockwell Hall. This change will provide greater visibility of the event as our student body will be informed about the significance of Academic Convocation.

Academic regalia is required. Regalia loans are available (at no cost) by contacting Cathy Cook (cookca@buffalostate.edu), administrative assistant 2, Academic Affairs Office, by Friday, September 5. Limited inventory available.
