Susan McMillen, Professor; and Jodelle Magner, Associate Professor, Mathematics

Susan McMillen, professor of mathematics, and Jodelle Magner, associate professor of mathematics, presented "High School STEM Partnerships Take Flight" at the National Association for Professional Development Schools annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia, February 14–16. Dr. Magner's partnership with West Seneca East High School had Buffalo State teacher candidates teaching high school students about parametric equations through launching model rockets. Dr. McMillen's teacher candidates helped WNY Martime Charter high school students become producers of technology by building working FM radios and using Play-Doh and other conductors as keyboards to run their computers.
