New York State offers executive branch employees information on planning for retirement through its DIRECTIONS: Pre-Retirement Planning webinars.

Eligibility for webinars:

• Employees must be eligible to retire within five years.
• Supervisory approval is required for employees to attend webinars during their normal workday.

2025 Summer Webinars (9:00 a.m. to noon)

Tuesdays: July 15, August 19, and September 16

• Overview, NYS Deferred Compensation, NYS Retirement Plan

Wednesdays: July 16, August 20, and September 17

• Overview, Social Security, NYSHIP (Health Insurance and Medicare)
