The Online Teaching: Technology and Educational Resources (OTTER) Institute, hosted by the SUNY Center for Professional Development (CPD), is an opportunity for online practitioners, regardless of teaching modality or experience, to learn more about online education’s innovations, trends, and challenges.
This year OTTER will focus on student voices. Each webinar will commence with online students from across SUNY sharing their experiences and preferences for online course materials, course design, communication tools, interaction, and more.
The following webinars will run from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.:
Monday, August 19, First Week of Class
Tuesday, August 20, Communication and Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI)
Wednesday, August 21, Online Assessment and Providing Feedback
Thursday, August 22, Effective Course Design
Friday, August 23, Artificial Intelligence
The second half of each webinar will focus on how we can use Brightspace to meet student expectations and preferences.
The OTTER Institute is free to all SUNY campus members. The webinars will be recorded and shared with participants at the conclusion of OTTER 2024.
Registration is required for the OTTER Institute 2024.
