R.A.D. Women's Basic Self-Defense Classes Begin April 20

Buffalo State College women are invited to participate in the R.A.D. Aggression Defense course, a four-week program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques that begins on Wednesday, April 20, and continues each Wednesday through May 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Buckham Hall A114. It is open to faculty, staff, and students.

The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program.

Courses are taught be certified R.A.D. instructors and provide participants with a workbook and reference manual that outlines the entire physical defense program for reference and continuous personal growth. The 12-hour R.A.D. program is conducted in four sessions, and participants must attend all sessions.

If you have any questions about the program, please email University Police Lieutenant Richard Myers or call (716) 878- 6333. For more information or to register, please visit the Workshop Registration System
