E. H. Butler Library is excited to announce ZINE SCENE, a series of free zine workshops and a zine exhibit on April 24–25. Zines are DIY magazines that anyone can make. At Butler Library, we have a small but growing collection of zines.
All are welcome to join us for the reception and zine exhibit on Thursday, April 24, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Butler Library's Global Lounge (3rd floor in the southeast quad).
Registrations are required for the free zine workshops on April 24 and April 25 in Butler 316. Workshops will be led by local zinesters and book artists on the following topics: Healing through Zines; Zines as Resistance; and Zine as Memoir, Archive, and Diary.
This event is funded by Butler Library and the Faculty-Student Association, and co-sponsored by Africana Studies and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This event is open to the public. Please help us spread the word!
Any questions can be directed to Julie Setele, senior assistant librarian.
