SUNY Online May Webinar Series

SUNY Online will host two upcoming webinars featuring SUNY Online teaching ambassadors sharing their experience and expertise around two relevant topics of interest.

While these webinars are free to attend, registration is required. Both sessions will be recorded.

AI and Assessment
Wednesday, May 15  |  Noon–1:00 p.m.
Presenter: Nikki Childrose, Ph.D., associate professor of history and chair of the Division of Technical Professions, Columbia-Greene Community College

This session will help participants understand the role of AI in academic assessment, explore current applications, and discuss potential benefits and challenges in their classes. The session will highlight the transformative role of AI in reshaping teaching and learning, especially in student-centered discussion boards, entry and exit tickets, and research development while emphasizing the importance of exploring AI's impact on academic assessment. Best practices will be shared for leveraging AI to enhance teaching and seamlessly integrating AI into teaching practices.

Join us for a discussion and sharing of best practices, tips, and strategies for engaging students in online math-related courses. Two faculty members will share their experiences and invite participants to collectively share ideas and strategies.
