Tell Students: Mental Health Support with Final Exams Approaching

We know this a high-stress time of year and students may benefit from a little extra support to help them successfully finish the semester.

As an alternative to scheduling a future appointment, students seeking support for end-of-semester stress may be seen for same-day brief consultations at the Counseling Center by visiting the first floor of the Weigel Health Center, or by calling (716) 878-4436, and requesting an urgent-care consultation. Consultations take approximately 20 minutes. Students will be assessed for immediate safety concerns and be given strategies and recommendations for follow up. These appointments are first-come, first-served and may involve some wait time.

24/7 mental health support is available by calling the Bengal Support Line at (833) 823-0260.

Students may register at BetterMynd.com with their Buffalo State email address for three free telehealth sessions with late night and weekend appointments available.
