Phi U is an academic honors society in the integrated field of family and consumer sciences (which includes: Personal finance, Nutrition, Parenting and childcare, Interpersonal relationships, Family systems, Career exploration and preparation, Family resource management, Design and merchandising, Interior design, The apparel industry, Environmentally responsible construction).

Phi U offers an environment empowering lifelong learning, leadership building, and ethical and scholastic excellence. Phi U aims to recognize and promote academic excellence in its members, develop qualities of leadership by providing opportunities for service, and encourage lifelong learning and commitment to advance family and consumer sciences and related areas. 

 By joining the Mu chapter, you will have opportunities for scholarships, social gatherings, and special graduation cords!

 Students are eligible for Phi U if:

• You have completed at least 36 credit hours.
• You have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3
