Call for Work - AFP 2025: Belonging Begins Here

Posted:

The Anne Frank Project 2025: Belonging Begins Here is pleased to announce a Call for Work.

Belonging is not just a value—it’s a foundation. It’s rooted in Buffalo State’s mission and commitment to access, identity, and social justice through education and community engagement both locally and internationally. Reflecting this commitment, we invite our university students, educators, advocates, and community artists to be part of that beginning by proposing to the AFP 2025: Belonging Begins Here exhibition. We are accepting work that represents your understanding of the concept of belonging. Artworks can be visual, aural, spatial, and interactive. This show is open to all ages.

The Anne Frank Project 2025 exhibition will be part of the AFP 2025 Social Justice Festival (October 8–9). Please include with your work your name, a title, and a very short statement connecting your work to the show’s concept. One person can submit up to three (3) separate works to this show.

Works will be accepted in Upton Hall 212 at these times:

Wednesday, September 24, 2:45 to 5:00 p.m.

Thursday, September 25, 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Friday, September 26, 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The exhibition, held October 6 through October 17, will be in Buffalo State’s Czurles-Nelson Gallery. See https://www.annefrankproject.com/ for AFP Festival information and schedule.
