"Come See Me in the Good Light" Screening at Beyond Boundaries: April 23
Please join the Beyond Boundaries Screening and Discussion Series for a presentation of the Academy Award nominated documentary Come See Me in the Good Light (2025) on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center's Tower Auditorium. A panel discussion will follow the film.
Trying to contextualize and come to terms with a terminal cancer diagnosis comes with heartbreak and heavy realizations. Colorado Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson approaches their situation with honesty and art. Alongside their fellow poet partner, Megan Falley, Gibson works towards a big final performance, bringing their spoken word skills to life on an otherwise grim topic. The true beauty comes from within their relationship.
Beyond Boundaries is sponsored by the Institutional Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office, Communication Department, and Burchfield Penney Art Center. This screening is free and open to the public. The series is curated by Ruth Goldman and Meg Knowles, associate professors of communication.
