The Fall 2025 Data Science and Analytics Seminar Series presents,  "Job Jams to Net-Work It with a Mentorship Mingle," featuring Theron Howard, vice president–Scrum Master at M&T Bank, on Monday, September 29, from 4:30 to 5: 45 p.m. in Bacon Hall 115 (Zoom 718 6340613). 

The presentation will address:

  • What's next after I graduate?
  • How might I Net-Work it to a Mentor Mingle?
  • Where's the JOBs around here and what should I do to get one?
  • Linking and Learning 

Howard is currently working for M&T Bank as a technical Scrum Master within the Credit Technology and Portfolio Support group supporting two Agile/Scrum teams. Previous roles: technical project manager, senior consultant/PM, project manager, operations PM, manager systems and service training, technical training manager and technical trainer. He holds degrees from Buffalo State University in MIS, Erie Community College in data processing and a master certification in project management for GWU, along with thousands of post-educational training hours. He is enormously proud to be an ECC Distinguished Alumnus, IT advisory chair and adjunct professor in technology. In addition, he has served on numerous community and organization boards: Urban Ledge, College Day 2023–2025, Workforce Development, TechWars, Mission Ignite, Men of Merit, and ECC Presidential Search committee to name a few. Currently, he is a member of M&T’s steering committees for STEM–Science Technology Engineering and Math, AARG (African American Resource Group), and Buffalo State Business Advisory Committee. Time allowing, he offers his service as a guest speaker to college students about careers, technology, networking, and mentoring and discussing what it takes to be successful within today’s work environment.
