Faculty Advisor Needed: Phi Upsilon Omicron Academic Honor Society
We are looking for a faculty member to serve as faculty advisor for Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society in Family and Consumer Sciences – Mu Chapter, beginning Fall 2026.
The time commitment is minimal and includes advising the student executive board and submitting membership information through GreekTrack (online portal).
Phi U is more than an academic honor society; we are committed to fostering professional growth and meaningful service opportunities for our students. We would love to have a passionate faculty member help us continue that mission!
Majors and minors in Family and Consumer Sciences include:
- Culinary arts, hospitality, and tourism
- Education and training
- Food science and nutrition
- Health management and wellness
- Housing and interior design
- Human/child development and family relations
- Personal and family finance
- Textiles, apparel, and retailing
- Academic education at these levels:
- Early childhood
- Elementary
- Secondary
- Higher Education
- Community education for adults and youth, including Cooperative Extension programs
- Business and industry
- Government
- Health and human services
