Faculty Paper Winners Presentation and Global Linkages

The Global Studies Institute invites the campus community to join us for an exciting program featuring core faculty Associate Professor of Art History Dr. Frances M. Gage's presentation of "What Early Modern Global Encounters Can Teach Us About Sacrilege and Desecration in Twenty-First Century America" along with the Values of Academic Research and Global Linkages Faculty Paper Winners below on April 23, 2026, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. in Technology Building Room 160. 

  1. Dr. Stephen E. Gareau, chair and professor, Computer Information Systems. Paper titled "How Are We Doing with Global Health and Well-being? An analysis of the Status of Non-communicable Diseases Worldwide.
  2. Dr. Bridget M. Chesterton, professor, History and Social Studies Education. Paper titled "Authoritarian Weather: Denial, Censorship, and Documentation of Heat in Paraguay During Stroessner’s Dictatorship."
