Public Service Recognition Week Conference - April 25
Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) honors the individuals who serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees. It calls attention to the important work happening in the public sector throughout the year.
Buffalo State's PSRW Conference takes place Saturday, April 25, opening with brunch, a PSRW proclamation by the Hon. Lisa Chimera (Deputy Erie County Executive), and a keynote speech by Joseph Dunne, Research Professor at the George Washington University. Dunne served in Ireland's Foreign Ministry and as Director of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Washington, DC. The afternoon features panel discussions on budgeting challenges for New York's state and local governments, climate and energy policy in NYS, ethics in government, and MPA student research presentations. Co-sponsored by the Business, Economics, and Public Administration Department, the WNY Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, the Pi Alpha Alpha Public Affairs and Administration Honor Society, and the Institute for European Union Studies at SUNY.
