Discover Your Story. Embark on a transformative journey with Buffalo State's "Narratives of Change" IPDP Kenya program! This immersive experience includes a spring semester course and May/June 2026 travel. It offers a unique opportunity to explore Kenya's vibrant culture, critically engage with narratives of social justice, and contribute to meaningful change.


Unforgettable Sites and Experiences:
● Nairobi National Museum: Delve into Kenya's rich natural and cultural history.
● Brackenhurst and Center for Ecosystem Restoration: Explore sustainable ecosystems and indigenous plants.
● Mara Naboisho Conservancy and Maasai Mara National Reserve: Witness breathtaking wildlife, learn about conservation models, and understand their social and economic implications for local communities.
● Maasai Cultural Experience: Engage directly with Maasai communities for a unique glimpse into their lifestyle and cultural pillars.
● Crescent Island Walking Safari and Lake Naivasha boat ride: Connect with nature and observe diverse wildlife.
● Wildlife Tourism College of the Maasai Mara: Gain insights into the wildlife tourism industry and experience unique tented accommodation in the heart of the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
● Kenya Institute of Puppet Theater (KIPT): Discover the power of performance and social awareness, exploring its role in anti-corruption education and human development.
● Kioko Mwitiki Art Gallery: Explore innovative Kenyan art, understanding its disruptive role in the Kenyan arts industry and economic empowerment of local creatives.

Beyond these incredible sites, you'll collaborate directly with inspiring Kenyan students from Uhuru Academy and Woodland Star School, and contribute to service learning at Limuru Cheshire Home. This is your chance to apply your disciplinary skills in real-world settings, fostering genuine co-creation, critically examining the "danger of a single story," and amplifying diverse voices as you learn about Kenya's rich cultural heritage and African contributions to global narratives.
