The Undergraduate Research Small Grants program offers financial support to undergraduate students who seek to undertake research, scholarly, or creative projects under the mentorship of a faculty or staff member during the academic year. Individual projects may be awarded up to $400, while collaborative projects involving two or more students may receive up to $600. These funds may be used to assist equipment, supplies, and travel costs related to execution of the project. Recipients of the award are expected to present their work at the 2026 Student Research and Creativity Conference (SRCC) in spring. The fall 2025 application deadline for students is Wednesday, October 1. The faculty mentor approval deadline is Friday, October 3.
