Webinar: "From Compliance to Culture: Designing Accessible Learning for Everyone" - March 30

Posted:

Microsoft is hosting a webinar, "From Compliance to Culture: Designing Accessible Learning for Everyone," on Monday, March 30, from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Zoom. The webinar will focus on accessibility across the campus experience, and SUNY faculty and staff from all functional areas are invited to attend.

Accessibility is more than meeting compliance requirements—it’s about creating environments, services, and content where everyone can fully participate. This session explores how inclusive design supports student success, improves communication, and reduces barriers across teaching, operations, and campus services.

Whether you create instructional materials, manage systems and services, communicate information, or support campus operations, this session will provide practical insights you can apply in your role.

What you’ll learn:

  • How accessibility has evolved from compliance to a culture of inclusion
  • A simple, memorable framework for inclusive content design
  • Practical approaches you can apply right away:
    • Review and Remediate: Fix accessibility issues in existing materials
    • Update: Build accessibility into revised or refreshed content
    • Create Inclusively: Design new materials with human variability in mind from day one

Registration is required.

Please register through Zoom using this link.

Attendance is currently limited to SUNY campus staff and faculty.
