Governor Kathy Hochul directed all flags on State government buildings to be lowered to half-staff in honor of NYPD officer Didarul Islam and the victims of the July 28 shooting at an office building in Midtown Manhattan. Flags were lowered to half-staff at sunrise July 29 and should be returned to full staff at sunset on Saturday, August 9.
