From the small of a hill in rural Jamaica to the bustling kitchen of his acclaimed restaurant, the journey of chef Darian Bryan, ’17, has been anything but typical.
After moving to Buffalo at 20 years old, Darian gained restaurant experience at Denny’s and Hutch’s Restaurant while studying culinary arts at SUNY Erie. He knew that in order to fulfill his dream of opening his own restaurant, he needed to dive deeper, which led him to pursue a bachelor’s of science in hospitality administration at Buffalo State University.
