Women in Music Festival: March 8 and 10

The Music Department will host Buffalo State University's first Women in Music Festival today, March 8, and Sunday, March 10, in celebration of Women’s History Month. All events will be held in Ciminelli Recital Hall, located on the third floor of Rockwell Hall. Come out and enjoy works by women composers.

Tormenta d’Amore (All female baroque chamber ensemble)
“Leading Ladies of the Baroque: Rebels and Trailblazers”: Musical works by women composers from the baroque era: Chiara Margarita Cozzolani (1602–1676), Barbara Strozzi (1619–1677), Élizabeth Jacquet de La Guerre (1665–1729) and more. Three female baroque specialists will be performing and interacting with the audience during the concert.
