SDG Action and Awareness Week: March 4-8

The Maurene Callahan Bouras Center for Global Engagement is hosting multiple events around campus this week to show how we can all do our part in creating a better world for the future during United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Week.

There will be an IPDS study-abroad panel and a CCE service project on Tuesday, an open sit-in with Kimberly Zittel-Barr’s Public Policy class on Thursday, and a student poster event on Friday. You can find more information on Bengal Connect!

In 2015, the United Nations created 17 Sustainable Development Goals, from Zero Hunger to Gender Equality, which aim to make the world a better place by 2030. SUNY institutions and the University Global Coalition are partnering on SDG Awareness Week, which focuses on how to bring action to these goals. Buffalo State University is proud to host this weeklong event on our campus.

These sessions include collaborations with the Dr.  Kathrine S. Conway-Turner Civic and Community Engagement Office and the Michael and Nancy Chicola IPDS Consortium.
